EPT certainty pregnancy tests are one of the pregnancy testers available. It can be purchased in single tests or in a double package of two tests.

This test leaves no doubt as to the result of the test. You don't have to worry about one line or two - pink or blue - or anything like that. It says clearly "pregnant" or "not pregnant" on the digital test window. You also don't need to wait very long; your results are displayed in three minutes - clear as a bell. Although it is a bit pricier than some lower end tests, you get the results faster and clearer than the others. There is also a lesser chance for a false positive with the EPT Certainty. With a 99% chance of identifying pregnancy hormone levels, you can be sure that the result you read is the answer you need.

As a urine - based home pregnancy test, it works by detecting the levels of hCG (human Chrionic Gonadotriopin) which is the hormone produced by pregnant women. EPT is the market leader in home pregnancy tests and this is their latest version with a digital readout of the results. In laboratory studies, this EPT test exceeded expectations for a home pregnancy test. It is advisable to use the test at the time that your menstrual flow is expected to start, if you use the test prior to your expected start date, the measured hormone may be too low to be detected. In this case, you would get a "not pregnant" reading through no fault of the test, but as a mere function of your body's low level to measure. There have been studies showing that 80% of tests done prior to the expected menstrual start date were not accurate compared to those taken on or after that day. It does take the woman time to begin producing this hormone at measureable levels, taking the test early could possibly not give you a valid reading.

Most OB/GYNS advise their patients to wait until after their expected menstrual period start date to take the test. In some cases a valid reading can be obtained 3 - 4 days before the period start date, but no matter what the reading, most women will retest after the menstrual start date anyway. So, if you want to take it early, understand you are probably just going to end up taking two tests.
